The exceptionally talented Soul artist Denise LaSalle has released her CD entitled Still The Queen. I am very confident and happy to announce that I believe Denise LaSalle fans, and Soul fans alike will be pleased with this one. With the release of Still The Queen Denise LaSalle’s artistic excellence is on full display as LaSalle has once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks that could very well be her best work to date.
Still The Queen grabs your attention right from the beginning with I'm Still The Queen and doesn't let go until the very last note of the very last song There's No Seperation, which is another great track by the way.
Soul music fans will recognize some of the well known guests that have been assembled to play along with LaSalle on several of the tracks. Artists like Micheal Toles and Charles Brown just to name a couple.
I give Still The Queen my highest recommendation. It just plain belongs in any serious music collectors collection regardless of genre preference.
While this entire CD is outstanding some of my favorites are track 3 - You Should Have Kept It In The Bedroom, track 4 - What Kind Of Man Is This, and track 8 - In A Midnight Mood In The Middle Of The Day
My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 5 - Funky Blues Kind Of Mood. Outstanding!
