Playing Tag

When I’ve seen other bloggers get tagged my response has typically been “I hope that doesn’t happen to me”, but when Don Gray tagged me early this week it wasn’t so bad afterall; in fact it more than trippled traffic to my blog and brought in some interesting bloggers I was previously unaware of, so thank you Don :)

As I understand it I have to post the following rules on my blog…
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog. 2. Share 5 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird. 3. Tag 5 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs. 4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

The 5 random facts about me are:
1. Whilst 8 months pregnant and protesting my innocence, I was hauled up into the back of a booze bus for blowing over 0.05. The police officer wasn’t at all amused when I suggested it must be from inhaling alcohol laden fumes from my husband who I had just picked up from a party. After 30 minutes of questionning I was allowed to have another blow and thankfully got my name rubbed off the bad guys whiteboard.
2. I once coaxed a kitten out through the mail flap in the door of a closed pet shop. My mum made me put it back :(
3. I married my husband within 3 months of meeting him; he was quite a catch I tell ya! I do loan him out to desperate housewives for handyman tasks only; terms and conditions are strictly limited.
4. I used to deliver singing telegrams.
5. Some of you may already know this but for those who don’t, I was taught to paint by a one-legged pink rabbit.

The five bloggers I would like to tag are Stephen Magsig for his fabulous nocturnal and urban paintings, Donald Yatomi check out his laundromats and garage interiors, they’re fabulous, Jim Thalassoudis I have a soft spot for Jim, he has been incredibly generous with his guidance and continues to be if I ever need to ask him anything; his blog clearly reflects this generous spirit where he shares his life as a working artist – not to mention his skies are pretty sensational too; while checking out his blog follow his link to his partner Dianne Gall's work, also beautiful. Simon Collins Simon has a glorious loose style of working which has recently earned him well deserved gallery representation. I’d like to see him blogging more; I hope tagging his blog will send more traffic his way and perhaps inspire him to show us more of his car paintings which I am really partial to, and finally Jason deGraaf whose blog I happened to stumble across fairly recently. I find Jason’s compositions very appealing and the light in his work is divine.

The hour is late; I'll post a painting tomorrow.
