I am thoroughly enjoying my painting-a-week commitment and so far it is having the desired effect in terms of increasing my time at the easel. I find myself grabbing at small opportunites to paint so that I will have a completed painting to post each weekend; whereas before these moments may well have slipped by. I am also challenging myself to try new things; so this is the last of my little nocturnes for a short while. For my next three blog paintings I am going to try something quite different to my usual paintings. I suspect I will be back to the nocturnes before too long.
I am taking off for a while this week to see if I can find some inspiring subject matter interstate. Seeing as I won't be here to post a painting next weekend I plan on posting an extra one this week on Wednesday night if all goes to plan.
